Positive parenting skills and an understanding of what to expect of children at different developmental stages is linked to positive developmental outcomes for children. Support at PLCs also helps parents positively influence the health and well-being of children.

The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) helps eligible taxpayers who do not know how to prepare their income tax and benefit returns, and who have low to modest income and a simple tax situation.
The program DOES NOT complete returns with income from: farming, rental, capital gains, deceased persons, bankruptcies, business, self employed, fishing or interest over $1000.
Community Volunteer Income Tax
The Home Alone Program is designed to provide children 8 years of age and older with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time. It will help them understand how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations, and keep them safe and constructively occupied.
An ideal community project, which can help prevent injuries and promote the responsible management of common situations that may arise while children are under the care of babysitters. The course material covers such topics as:
Becoming a successful babysitter
Caring for children from three months to school-aged
The behaviour and misbehaviour of children
Caring for a sick or injured child
Prevention and basic First Aid.

The Meals on Wheels Program offers you a full course hot meal delivered to your home in Two Hills by a friendly volunteer. These nutritionally balanced meals, prepared by the Hillside Lodge are provided to those who might not otherwise prepare a hot meal for themselves. Special diets and/or meals can be accommodated (ie. diabetes, allergies, blended food). Also, frozen meals and/or extra meals can be purchased and delivered by the driver, to be reheated at a later date or to be consumed on days where the service is not available.
The Family School Liaison Worker (FSLW) is available to enhance the development of a student’s educational, social and emotional experiences. The FSLW program is a critical component of the St. Paul Education Regional Division No. 1 counselling program and to our communities at large. FSLWs provide a majority of the school-based counselling services, which are not available through regular academic programming.
Mountain Movers is an after school club established to meet the growing needs of community members aged 6-11 years of age. Currently taking place Wednesday afternoons between 3:30 and 5:30 at the Two Hills School. You can follow us on Facebook for updates, photos and programming here.
